Partner and Commercial Manager
Position Description
OrderEazi, a Warp Development product, is looking for a Partner and Commercial Manager based in Somerset West, Cape Town to build and own our reseller partner channel. This is a permanent, full-time role for a commercially experienced professional who has built partner programmes before and is ready to do it again, from the ground up.
This role suits someone with five or more years in B2B software or SaaS sales who understands partner economics, has written the material partners sell with, and can carry both a channel and a direct commercial number at the same time. This is not a managing role. It is a building role.
What is the Partner and Commercial Manager role at OrderEazi?
OrderEazi is an order management and e-commerce platform built for wholesale and distribution, corporate gifting, franchise groups and B2B e-commerce businesses. Our buyers are typically CEOs, CFOs, IT managers, procurement leads and operations heads. Implementations usually involve integration with a client’s existing ERP or accounting stack.
The partner channel does not yet exist. The person in this role will define how it works: partner tiers, commercial terms, onboarding, deal registration, and the enablement library that allows partners to sell and implement OrderEazi without us in the room. Alongside building the channel, they will carry direct new business responsibility and own a portfolio of existing accounts.
The role splits roughly 70% partner channel, 20% existing account management and 10% direct new business, reviewed formally each quarter.
What will the Partner and Commercial Manager work on?
As Partner and Commercial Manager, you will:
- Build and run the OrderEazi reseller partner programme from its earliest stages
- Identify, sign and onboard partners who serve our target industries
- Develop the enablement material partners need to sell and implement independently
- Manage partner performance and feed requirements back into product planning
- Build and work a direct pipeline of qualified opportunities
- Own a portfolio of existing OrderEazi clients as their main commercial contact
- Drive retention, upsell and cross-sell across the existing account base
This is not a short-term or experimental programme. The expectation is that the channel becomes a durable revenue source, and the person who builds it owns how that happens.
Key Responsibilities
Partner Channel:
- Define and run the OrderEazi partner programme: tiers, commercial terms, margin and discount structures, deal registration, and the rules that keep partner and direct business from competing
- Identify, approach and sign partners who serve our target industries, and decline the ones who do not fit
- Own partner onboarding end to end: commercial agreement, technical and commercial training, first implementation, first live client
- Build the enablement library partners actually need: pitch material, demo scripts, discovery guides, pricing guidance, implementation runbooks, objection handling and competitive positioning
- Work with our marketing lead on the partner pack, landing page and campaign, and supply the substance that goes into them
- Run partner performance: regular reviews, pipeline visibility, revenue against target, and direct conversations with partners who are not producing
- Collect and prioritise what partners need from the platform and take a structured, evidenced case into product planning
- Turn everything done manually in year one into a documented process, ready to move into the partner portal as it comes online
Direct new business
- Build and work a pipeline of qualified opportunities across target industries
- Open doors through your existing network, referrals, industry events and direct outreach
- Run discovery conversations that get to the real operational problem, not a feature checklist
- Work with our technical and delivery teams to scope solutions and shape proposals
- Present and demonstrate OrderEazi to decision-makers from operations managers to executive level
- Negotiate and close, and stay involved through onboarding so the client gets what they were sold
Existing accounts
- Own a portfolio of existing OrderEazi clients as their main commercial contact
- Build relationships across each account, not just with the person who signed
- Understand each client’s business well enough to spot where the platform could do more for them
- Drive upsell and cross-sell, particularly clients on one module who would benefit from both
- Run regular account reviews, keep renewals on track and manage commercial conversations around scope and pricing
Required Qualifications and skills
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Five or more years selling B2B software, SaaS or technology solutions, with an account management or customer success component
- Demonstrable experience building and running a partner or reseller programme: recruiting, onboarding and enabling third parties who sell on your behalf, not just co-selling alongside them
- A consistent track record of hitting or exceeding revenue targets
- Experience selling into operationally complex businesses where the buying decision involves multiple stakeholders
- Comfort with consultative, longer-cycle sales rather than transactional volume selling
- A working understanding of partner economics: margin structures, discount tiers, deal registration and channel conflict
- Experience writing the material partners sell with, not just handing over what someone else produced
- Established relationships with senior decision-makers in wholesale, distribution, retail, franchise, corporate gifting or comparable sectors, or with the agencies and implementation firms serving them
- Clear written and verbal communication: a meaningful part of this role is producing material other people sell with
- Self-directed: you can build a channel and a pipeline from a standing start
- Based in or able to work from our Somerset West office, with hybrid flexibility
- Valid driver’s licence and own transport, with willingness to travel to client and partner sites
- Fluent in English; Afrikaans is useful given our client base
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following are advantageous:
- Experience with ERP, accounting, e-commerce or Order Management platform integrations
- Background in the industries we sell into: ICT, Agriculture, Corporate Clothing, Retail, Manufacturing, Automotive or Health Technology
- Experience with a partner portal or PRM system
- Exposure to building or selling through partners internationally
Why work at Warp Development?
OrderEazi is a proven product with 20+ years of development behind it and a real, active client base. It is backed by Warp Development, a software company with 24+ years of experience delivering enterprise solutions for local and international clients.
As Partner and Commercial Manager, you will:
- Own the partner channel from the ground up, with the mandate to decide how it works
- Have direct access to the people who build the product. What you and your partners encounter can genuinely influence the roadmap
- Shape how OrderEazi goes to market, rather than executing someone else’s playbook
- Work with a team that values straight communication and long-term thinking
Salary + commission and benefits. Based in Somerset West, Cape Town, with hybrid flexibility.
