The Incentive Company

TIC’s loyalty platform ran across disconnected legacy software managing 75,000+ products — infrastructure that couldn’t keep pace. Legacy software modernisation brought everything into a unified data warehouse and API-driven architecture built for the scale their enterprise clients demand.

Background on the client

The Incentive Company (TIC) is a leader in the B2B loyalty program space, with over thirty years of experience.

TIC’s innovative approach centres around its incentive programs that enable users to accumulate virtual points, which can then be exchanged for physical products from a diverse range of suppliers. The system’s architecture allows participants to apply promotional content and submit sales claims, with automatic point calculations enabled by seamless integrations with third-party systems.

The company has built its reputation on delivering measurable results, with its programs consistently driving significant improvements in customer engagement and revenue generation. Their Athena platform serves as the backbone of these operations, providing real-time customer insights, scalable solutions, and performance-tracking capabilities that have made them a trusted partner to enterprise-level clients.

The identified problem that needed a solution:

TIC faced mounting challenges with its existing loyalty program infrastructure, which threatened to undermine operational efficiency. Our Client Success Stories often begin with similar technical debt issues, and TIC’s situation was particularly complex.

The core problem was centred around fragmented system management. Their loyalty programs were managed individually across different legacy systems that predated our involvement, creating a web of disconnected platforms that required constant manual intervention. This setup required manual updates to product prices across separate systems, turning what should have been automated processes into labour-intensive operations.

The scale of this challenge was staggering:

Product catalogue containing over 75,000 items

Approximately 20,000 products are subject to price changes at any given time

Multiple disconnected systems requiring individual updates

Significant time investment for routine maintenance tasks

This fragmentation wasted resources and risked inconsistency. Price differences could confuse customers, lead to miscalculated points, and cause revenue loss. Manual updates forced TIC’s team to spend hours on repetitive tasks rather than on strategy.

The situation had reached a tipping point where the existing infrastructure was actively hindering TIC’s ability to scale its operations and serve its enterprise clients effectively.

What solution did Warp provide?

We solved TIC’s challenges with a complete system transformation. This project stands out in our case study examples for its technical complexity and innovative approach to multi-system integration.

Our solution involved a complete system rewrite that consolidated all of TIC’s fragmented data into a single, unified architecture. We developed a centralised data warehouse that serves as the single source of truth for all loyalty program information, accessible via a robust API.

Key technical components of our solution included:

Unified Data Warehouse: All client data integrated into a single, scalable repository

API-Driven Architecture: Facilitates seamless communication between multi-tenanted front-end systems.

Tenant Isolation: Ensures each client can only access data specific to their organisation

Modern Frontend Stack: Vue.js with Pinia Store, Vue Router, and Shad Cn for optimal user experience

Robust Backend: .NET 10 and C# 14, providing enterprise-grade performance and security

Development Environment: Aspire 13 for streamlined local development and testing

The API layer connects the data warehouse to all front-end applications. All data is managed centrally, while each tenant’s data remains private and secure.

Our Technical Solutions for Healthcare and enterprise systems expertise proved invaluable in designing a system capable of handling TIC’s massive product catalogue while meeting the performance standards required for real-time point calculations and promotional content management.

Project Results

The transformation delivered immediate and measurable improvements to TIC’s operations. This project exemplifies how strategic technical intervention can resolve complex operational challenges while positioning a company for future growth.
