Towards the end of 2016, the ex Groupon South Africa team approached us with a challenge to create a solid E-commerce marketplace in order to sell local experiences, products and getaways to the South African market.

Hyperli needed a cost effective E-commerce solution that could handle custom integrations, provide detailed sales, inventory & marketing reporting and offer easy redemptions of 100’s of local goods, getaways and deals.

Execution

We partnered with the team to create Hyperli and developed a scalable E-commerce solution in 6 weeks, using our Storefront platform. With custom features and capabilities, and a variety of custom integrations, the platform was launched on Black Friday 2016 and has grown from strength to strength.

Challenges

Managing the scalabillity of concurrent users on the site and forecasting how to handle volumes was a big challenge at first. Careful server and database management became a priority and we moved from My SQL to an Autora Database for auto scaling.


Results

The sites performance is always top of mind and in less than 2 years Hyperli has achieved the following results by June 2018.
